Frequently asked questions to EPST

Are you interested, but still have questions? We have already answered the most frequently asked questions for you.

If you have more questions, you can contact us by phone on weekdays from Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 17:30, or Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 at 030-2383232.

There are also information days at EPST twice a month, where you can get all your questions about the training answered.

Sign up for an information meeting via our calendar (epst.nl/agenda).

At least a HAVO diploma with Mathematics A or B and English

Selection is allowed from 17 years of age, starting training from 18 years of age. The selection result remains valid for 1 year.

Basically a class starts every month, this varies by location. Make sure you start our selection process at least 2 months in advance for when you would like to start.

The first stage of selection, the COMPASS test, can be scheduled any working day. Call the EPST office to make an appointment 030-2383232.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to register if you have completed an MBO course without having a HAVO diploma. With a completed HBO bachelor’s degree you are eligible for our training regardless of whether you have a HAVO diploma.

This demand comes from almost all European airlines, which is why EPST agrees with this statement.

There is no maximum age to start our course.

On average, training takes 18 months. This depends on several factors, such as weather conditions on site.

The course costs €109,000 at Locarno and Global Aviation including accommodation abroad, airfare etc. And at OSM Aviation Academy €119,000,- What this does not include is living expenses abroad.

EPST has excellent aftercare for its students. We guide and help students find their first job in the cockpit. Our graduates can continue to train for free on our Boeing 737 FNPT II to maintain their flying skills. In addition, EPST has connections at several airlines that are all too happy to have EPST students sitting in the cockpit.

Unfortunately, we do not have a funding option. However, we do offer our students a no-obligation consultation with one of our partners to provide detailed advice. In addition, we have a partnership with House of Pilots who offer a unique (work) pathway for funding our education. For more information about this pathway, take a look at their website houseofpilots.eu

We currently have three locations:

  • OSM Aviation Academy in Arendal, Norway
  • Global Aviation in Megara, Greece
  • Aero Locarno in Locarno, Switzerland

After obtaining the CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) licence, there is another 6-week MCC/APS course at EPST in Utrecht.

The course is entirely in English.

No, our flight training is private training. We train for the commercial pilot profession and with us you will have a CPL licence (Commercial Pilot Licence) after the integrated flight training.
